Managing Director Edward W. Roemer founded Caris Employment Agency in 1988 after a visit to an employment agency in Holland convinced him of the need for such an agency on Curacao. The agency currently has a staff of 6 trained professionals in it's Curacao office and a workforce of more than 450 employees. Due to it's success Caris now has offices in Aruba and Bonaire and also works closely with the Start employment agency in Holland. Connecting the right employer with the right employee is an important task and part of the professional matchmaking at Caris which services all sectors both government and private including Banking.

The Hotel and Restaurant Industry, Construction, Medical, Airlines, Housekeeping and Sales. Caris also provides training and advice for employees with a focus on young people, enabling a large part of the local workforce better placements and opportunities. The company is also a member of CIETT-The international confederation of temporary workers.
With a database of hundreds of companies on the ABC Islands, Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao, the company provides Human Resources Consulting, a valuable tool for companies who do not have this service themselves.
